Jira

Overview

The Jira integration streamlines the process of creating issues directly in the Jira workspace with just a single click. This feature enhances productivity by eliminating manual entry and ensuring seamless issue tracking.

Step 1: Setup the Integration

First, access the integrations settings screen by pressing the gear wheel icon on the top right corner of the screen, or alternatively visit .

Access to the integrations settings is only available to a tenant admin.

Press on the Enable button in the Jira integration and follow the instructions.

Note that the Jira user must have the following Jira permissions for the integration to be successful:

  1. View - jira-user, jira-work

  2. Update - jira-work

Step 2: Configure the Jira Project

Step 2.1: Select the Penetration Test Project

Once the integration is successful, a window with all the penetration tests projects will be displayed:

Step 2.2: Select the Jira Project

Press on the Connect button to associate the Jira project in which issues will be created at.

Step 2.3: Configure Jira Project Issue Type and Custom Fields

Select the issue type that will be created and set the custom fields required and at the end press on the Save Configuration button.

Step 2.4: Confirm Selection of the Selected Jira Project

Confirm the selection of the Jira project by pressing the Confirm button.

Step 3: Create an Issue

Once the integration was successful and the project settings were set, go to the relevant project in the system and press on the Jira button for each finding you would like to create the issues for:

Press on the Confirm button to create the issues in the selected Jira project.

Troubleshooting

There will be cases that the issues will not be created. In this case, the error message returned from Jira API will be displayed. This will allow fine tuning the settings to make the integration work successfully.

Disable Integration

At anytime, it is possible to completely disable the integration by pressing on the Disable Integration button found in the Jira Integration Settings screen:
